| Eight outstanding Youth competitors took home nine High-Point and All-Around awards during the Youth awards ceremony on June 26. Open and
amateur events, as well as special entertainment will highlight the
show through July 5. |
Dreams were realized and champions were crowned last night during the
Youth Awards ceremony in the John Justin Arena at the World
Championship Paint Horse Show. Eight High Point and All-Around titles
were awarded, including:
Ashley Wildes of Lakeside, Calif., won the Elegant April and High-
Point English awards. This outstanding young rider rode Totally By
Choice, an 11-year-old gelding owned by Tim and Karen Wildes, earning
World Championships in Youth 18-and-under Hunt Seat Over Fences and
14-18 Hunter Hack and Working Hunter. For her wins, Wildes took home a
$500 US Savings Bond; a memorial trophy; an English saddle and pad,
courtesy of Charlotte’s Saddlery; an 11- by 14-inch photograph,

Stevie Jay Roubion of Paradise, Texas, won the High-Point Western
Youth award. Roubion rode Little Joe Black to a World Championship in
Youth Heeling, and three other Top 5 finishes in Youth Goat Tying,
Youth Heading, and Youth Steer Stopping. Little Joe Black is owned by
Steve and Sondra Roubion of Paradise, Texas. For her honors, the
talented competitor took home a Western trophy saddle, courtesy of

The Reserve High-Point Walk-Trot Youth was 9-year-old Brennan Coulson
of Granite Bay, Calif. This young rider finished in the Top 5 of the
Walk-Trot classes three times, with a championship title in the Walk-Trot Trail. Coulson rode Toys Express, a 12-year-old mare owned by
Tamara Coulson, also of Granite Bay, Calif. The rider was presented
with a pair of boots, courtesy of Lucchese; a custom leather photo

High-Point Walk-Trot Youth went to 9-year-old Grace Brown of Newberg,
Ore., on Snuffys Miss Kitty. The duo earned Reserve World titles in
Walk-Trot Equitation and Showmanship, sixth place in Walk-Trot Trail
and a World Championship in Walk-Trot Horsemanship. Brown took home a
Western trophy saddle, courtesy of Blue Ribbon Custom Tack; a pair of

Ashley Corona of Corona, Calif., and Too Shiny Forya earned the
Reserve All-Around Youth 13 & Under award with placings in seven
classes, which included a Reserve World Championship in Youth Hunter
Hack 13 & Under and a World title in Youth Western Riding 13 & Under.

The All-Around Youth 13 & Under winner was Rylee Morgan of American
Fork, Utah, riding Dun Me Light, owned by Paige and Rylee Morgan. The
horse and rider won a World Championship in Hunt Seat Equitation,
three Reserve World Championships and four other Top Ten placings.

Taylor Lynn Prince and Mystical Machine from Las Vegas, Nev., won the
Reserve All-Around Youth 14-18 title. This standout young rider and
the talented 7-year-old mare owned by Susan and Taylor Lynn Prince had
several accomplishments at the Youth World Show, including Top 5
placings in Youth Western Horsemanship, Youth Showmanship, and Youth
Western Pleasure, in addition to World Championship titles in Youth
Trail and Youth Western Riding. For the win, Prince was presented a

The All-Around Youth 14-18 winner was Chelsea Bain of Scottsdale,
Ariz., on Sensational Blonde, owned by Buddy and Renee Jobe. The pair
rode to a Reserve World Championships in Youth Western Horsemanship,
and earned World Championships in three classes—Youth Hunt Seat
Equitation, Youth Showmanship and Youth Western Pleasure. Bain took
